TRAVIS’ PICKS OF THE WEEK

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

As summer (sort of?) comes to an end, I’ve been buying more and more transitional pieces that I can wear in the fall and winter. I’ve begun investing more money into really well-made basics and I am constantly on the search for the perfect _________ (shirt/boots/jeans/etc). Over the past month, we have received some amazing new stuff, and I have been shopping a little more than I should be. Check out my picks of the week after the jump!

WANG IS BACK!

Friday, July 16th, 2010

We just got in a fresh shipment of Alexander Wang bags, right in time for the fall rush! This season, the bags have gold studs, and Wang introduces a rich, new mahogany brown that we cannot get enough of. The brown bags are the perfect color for the upcoming cooler months, and look amazing with greys and black. These bags definitely won’t be around for a long time, so give us a call asap if you’re interested, 1.718.782.0521

DAZED AND CONFUSED, AUGUST 2010

Friday, July 16th, 2010

ROLLERGIRL

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Photographer Alice Rosati tells us the story behind her 70’s inspired editorial: “For a long time me and Roberta were planning to use these fantastic rollerskates of hers [in a shoot]. Our inspiration came from the movie Boogie Nights, so we decided to plan our story but couldn t find the right model… then we saw Katy! She was the perfect face for a story like that – a weird, crazy, Brit doll look. So the super team strikes again: we had fun as usual, me and Annalisa discovered that if we fail in the fashion world we could open a pastry shop (the cake in the last pic is our creation). A special thanks to Roberta for the location and for cleaning up the mess (she was still finding confetti 2 weeks later), and to Tigrotti for supervising!”
