Rad Hourani debuted his spring/summer collection in September, but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about how amazingly he translated his draping, weaving, and splitting into spring wear. The collection itself was very space age, pairing black shorts with abstract zippered jackets, and a handful of white accent pieces. The styling was very strong, and the hair, makeup, and shoes could not be more on point. While looking at the OAK webstore, I saw several pieces (aside from the few Rad by Rad garments we still have in stock) that can help you to achieve Hourani’s signature sexy and androgynous style.

FRESHLY RESTOCKED!

We just got in our spring run of the ever-popular men’s Nudie jeans!

The indigo rinse High Kai, $179.00
My favorite of all of the Nudies, the High Kai is their slimmest silhouette, with a slightly higher waist. The High Kai has a little bit of a stretch to it, and works well on nearly any body shape. If you tend to slouch your jeans or prefer to wear them slightly lower, I would suggest sizing up one size. These jeans are a great cut, color, and shape and have turned into my “go to” pair.

These jeans are the same cut as the pair above, but are made of a very light-weight almost paper-y feeling denim which is perfect for the summer months. If you are like me and resort to shorts at the very last moment possible, these jeans are a must for the upcoming hot weather. They have a slightly shiny coated finish, but feel more like dress pants rather than jeans.

The black coated Thin Finn, $179.00
The Thin Finn is one of Nudie’s newest cuts, with a lower back yoke and lower back pockets. They have a tube leg fit, with a narrow bottom width. These jeans look great hung a little lower on the hips, but can also pass as a tighter jean if you size down. The waxy coating gives the jeans a really amazing, almost leather-y look, and wears in extremely well. Another plus of these jeans is that they don’t require much washing– the waxiness actually allows you to just spot clean them!

TRAVIS’ PICKS OF THE WEEK

I think that our whole staff is looking forward to greys, light denim, and camel as soon as the weather starts to get a little warmer. Here are my top 5 spring favorites…

The unisex Cheap Monday Wide Denim Shirt.

For only $62.00, this shirt is a steal. It is the perfect washed out, light-weight denim for this summer. It has a boxy cut and looks great dressed up or dressed down.

Mary Meyer White Arrow Tail Tank, $94.00.

This tank is perfect for summer layering. I have been wearing mine way too much, and layering it under both light jackets and open flannels. This is Mary Meyer’s first men’s collection, and she did a great job! If you like this one, make sure to also check out her “High on Love” men’s tank.
